I was born at a very young age

Hi. I'm Steve Unwin. You can call me Stunwin if you like, but if you're not a nickname person, I get it.

In my teens and early 20s I was an actor. I was fortunate enough to get paid to do Shakespeare, and had a pretty great time doing it.

After moving to NYC and realizing that the life of an actor wasn't exactly what I wanted it to be, I ended up pivoting into wine and startups at the same time. If you imagine that being 25 and working at a web startup that sells wine is fun, you would be extremely correct.

Not too long after that I found myself at VaynerMedia. Vayner is a massive global agency now, but back then it was basically GaryVee, his bother AJ, and a hundred 25 year olds making everything up as they went along and somehow servicing clients like GE and Budweiser. Talk about right place, right time.

My career has stayed firmly in marketing/advertising/communications/selling stuff since then. These days I'm based in the PNW and spend my time climbing mountains, learning to code, and generally succumbing to all of the tropes that plague milennials nerds (coffee, keyboards, linux, etc).
